Colwyn Bay
Clwyd West MP, David Jones, was guest at a dinner organised last week by the Tan-y-Lan Kidz Club, Old Colwyn.
Under the supervision of local youth leader, Jenny Hughes, the young members of the Club served a meal which they had cooked themselves from ingredients they had personally selected.
David Jones said:
“The meal was a huge success and all the guests who attended enjoyed it immensely.
“By being responsible personally for selecting the ingredients and cooking the meal, the young members of the Kidz Club were acquiring valuable skills that will equip them well in later life.
“Jenny Hughes is doing tremendous job at the community centre and deserves every encouragement and support.
“Jenny is hoping to lay out a vegetable garden to produce ingredients for the Club’s next meal, to which I am already looking forward.”
