David Jones

MP for Clwyd West

Old Colwyn cash machine back in service

30 November 2009

Westminster

Old Colwyn’s only free cash dispenser is now back in full use, after intervention by Clwyd West MP, David Jones.

The machine, located at the Somerfield store in the village, had suffered from intermittent faults for a few weeks and local people had reported concerns about being unable to access cash.

David Jones said:

“I am pleased to say that HSBC, the owners of the machine, have taken their responsibility very seriously indeed.

“The machine is now back in service, after a full maintenance by a senior engineer.

“HSBC have also placed the machine on a high priority list, so any future issues will be be picked up as a priority.

“This machine is of high importance to Old Colwyn people, both shopkeepers and shoppers alike. I am grateful to HSBC for responding so positively to my concerns.”
